About

I only went out for a walk and finally concluded to stay out till sundown, for going out I found, was really going in – John Muir

Hello, and welcome to my mountain world.

The images and text on this blog reflect some of the events of my inner and outer life. They are a reflection of my lifelong passion: exploring the natural world, moving through the mountains using different equipment, trying to have a more connected journey, both on the way up and on the way down. The best ski and snowboard lines start with a climb.

Snowboarder, Telemark skier, climber.. I am simply a mountain lover. My body is at its best at the rarer air of the heights and communicates its excitement to the mind. There is something about the mountain environment that always appealed to me, on different levels.

I have friends all over the world so the idea behind the blog is to try to share my experiences with them. If you feel inspired by this collection of photos, tales and random thoughts and would like to know more about the places I visit or the equipment I use, or would like some advice on your next ski trip or expedition, get in touch.

Ha! How meanings change depending on the life behind the writing! On my map, you have to climb up the Fab Four peak to get to ‘Liverpool Land’. But you push real boundaries – and write nicely, vividly about it – while I, notorious sloth, at best push the boundaries of a metaphor. 😉

Hi Matteo, nice Blog. Really makes me want to shove some clothes in a bag and head to the hills. My friend is a huge fan of South America and Patagonia in particular so I sent him your blog and highlighted the Patagonia bit, he loves it.

    Cheers, Matteo.
